This is just...I came thinking that I would simply see gorgeously-depicted Tolkein characters that you don't see too often and am now filled with many A Song of Ice and Fire thoughts (re: emotions). In particular, I'm furious at myself for never connecting Aredhel to Lyanna Stark--the dark-haired, grey-eyed, beautiful, headstrong, willful, horse-riding sister of three brothers from House Stark, whose colors are silver and white. Yep...

This picture, in particular, is just perfect.

This seems, perhaps, an odd thing to fixate on, but I really like Aredhel's arm! I just... really, really like it.

And just the depiction of this scene in general. :/ I've always felt really bad for Maeglin in particular for this very event. The guilt and grief he would have felt must have been absolutely terrible...
